With their family home in Hawaii as the setting for their spring wedding, Anna and Oliver wanted their wedding stationery to lean into Hawaii's beautiful landscape and set the scene for their special celebration. Because they were drawn to a more detailed illustrative style, the initial concepts focused on overall direction and composition, allowing us to thoughtfully establish the foundation before refining the chosen design with more detailed illustrations.

Initial Design Concepts

Concept 1
Highlights Hawaii's landscape while adding a playful peek-a-boo moment with the cutout.

Concept 2
Volcano shaped card echoes the Hawaiian landscape underneath to create visual depth.

Concept 3
Features the roof of the family home where the celebration takes place, framed by lush foliage.
Final Direction

Transporting you to warmer days, this wedding invitation suite set the scene for Anna and Oliver's intimate wedding at their family home in Hawaii. The main card featured a letterpress printed Hawaiian landscape with detailed illustrations. We loved the idea of the secondary card mimicking the shape of the volcano underneath to create depth. We used green tones for the main invitation card to reflect the color palette of the ceremony, while the secondary card featured orange letterpress printed details to reference the orange branding of their welcome party venue.
